A WRITER BY DEFAULT

A fellow aspiring TV writer asked me what my “default” was yesterday. I was confused. Were we not writers by default? And everything else is a means?

    I get confused when I'm asked "are you still playing?" or "are you still trying to be a film maker?" .. Some people just don't get there is no other way that we've gotta do what we've gotta do. We are artists and storytellers by default.
